In 2022 Alida released a cookbook/parody: The Oldest Recipe in the Book- Oh, for the Love of Scones. Aside from delicious recipes, its glossy pages contain an irreverent and comical tale of love and marriage.

Aside from creating cookbooks, Alida is also a children’s book author, publishing two picture books thus far:

• The Curious Case of Minty Green: a comical tale about a little girl and her quest to discover more about the human body.
• Catch You ‘round Alligator: the story of a father and daughter; a heartfelt tale about the circle of life.
